Story Behind the Song: "The Murder of Wild Bill Hickock f. Andy Hunt"

Last Spring, apparently 8 years after everyone else, I discovered HBO's Deadwood. I was hooked from the first scene - an impromptu execution (by hanging) carried out by the righteous, mustachioed soon-to-be sheriff Seth Bullock. Of the characters introduced in the first few episodes, among my favorites is Wild Bill Hickok. Before watching Deadwood, I didn't know how poor Bill met his end. Now I do. And if you listen to this song, so will you.

On lead vocals is Andy Hunt, one half of the Brooklyn duo The Hunts (http://www.reverbnation.com/thehunts). Andy's voice and this tune were made for each other.
