Jonny's Food Blog - Denver - Tommy's Thai and Burrito Amigo

When in doubt, ask the bartender at the club... I'm learning that this really works. The good folks at the Bluebird Theater in Denver all recommended that I walk across the street to get what is known as the best Thai food in Denver - Tommy's Thai.

They weren't far off - it was awesome. I kept it simple and got some green curry with vegetables/tofu, brown rice, and a Thai iced tea.

No joke, the curry was amazing. Sometimes when you order a curry at a Thai joint, you get stuck with a runny, oily mess... Not this place - the consistency was spot on - a super creamy coconut milk base, the perfect amount of spice, great tofu, and crunchy vegetables.

I made it back to the Bluebird with just enough time to grab a drink with some friends and the show was awesome! The people of Denver, were so nice that I almost feel bad that Daaaaa Bears snatched Jay Cutler away (it's ok though, we gave them Kyle "Neckbeard" Orton so I won't lose sleep over it.)

After the show, the Burrito Amigo came into the venue and seemed to know the entire crew, so I snagged a couple bean & cheese burritos for Sam and I and called it a night... Check this guy out, he rules...
